Jenny Dupuis. Health and physical fitness have always been a major area of interest for Jennifer Dupuis. For this reason after completing high school, Jennifer enrolled in a Sport and Physical Education program at Laurentian University. During this time, Jennifer took many sport and physical fitness based courses, such as Principles of Weight Training, Exercise Science, and Adapted Physical Education. Based on the positive experiences that Jennifer had while earning her Honors Bachelor of Physical and Health Education in 2008, Jennifer decided to further her education in physical fitness by becoming certified as a Personal Trainer Specialist from Can-Fit-Pro in 2008. Since this time, Jennifer has also taken an Exercise Nutrition course from Can-Fit-Pro. Jennifer continued her education at Laurentian University by attending Teachers College, earning a Bachelor of Education with a major in Physical Education. In the future, Jennifer looks forward to gaining more experience and knowledge in the health and fitness field!

Krista Johnson is excited to bring a psychological twist to the BSB team. After graduating from Bishop Smith High School, Krista went on to Laurentian University to complete her undergraduate honours degree in Sport Psychology. Her passion to learn more about psychological and physical health, led her to a First Nations northern reserve where she completed dietary research for her Master’s degree in Human Kinetics from the University of Ottawa. Krista is also a certified personal trainer from CanFitPro.
When not teaching bootcamp, Krista can be found running, biking or working at Family and Children’s Services to develop activity based programs for local youth. With a true passion for health, Krista believes that motivation to train comes from within, but will do whatever she can to help people enjoy living an active and healthy lifestyle.
Mel Cyba is fairly new to the province of Ontario. Having spent 18 years in Canada’s Northwest Territories, she truly enjoys all of the spirit and adventure the north has to offer. She is a community minded person who has played numerous team sports (including slowpitch, fastball, volleyball, badminton, hockey, curling). She has also volunteered her time to numerous community organizations in Yellowknife including local sports organizations, craft guilds and serving as an RCMP Auxiliary Constable. Mel loves the outdoors, and rarely turns down an opportunity to go fishing, hunting or snowmobiling.
Fitness has always been a large part of her life. In addition to various sports team involvement, she began Ukrainian dancing when she was 4, and continued on to compete and become an instructor after finishing high school. While residing up north, she helped facilitate compulsory fitness testing for new employees and co-workers at her place of employment. Mel has always, and continues to inspire people to better their health and fitness lifestyles through proper nutrition, healthy living, team sports and running programs. Currently, she challenges her personal fitness by taking part in a variety of bootcamp activities, running and resistance training.
Mel is a Certified Personal Trainer Specialist (Can-Fit-Pro) and is certified as a Bootcamp Fitness Instructor through ‘The Bootcamp University’. In continuing to achieve her Certification goal of Advanced Personal Trainer Specialist (Can-Fit-Pro), she is continuing her fitness education through seminars, online education, and ongoing courses.
